LANSING (WOOD-AM) - Memorials that were set up on the Michigan State University campus to honor shooting victims last month are now being removed.

Flowers are being processed into mulch. That mulch will be used when a memorial tree is planted later this year.

Signs are being preserved by the MSU archives and the university's museum.

The students who were killed last month will be awarded degrees posthumously during spring commencement.
