GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - John Ball Zoo is asking people for their support on "Giving Zooday."

Kelli Smith, who is with the facility, says donations made today will go toward wildlife conservation efforts and a howler monkey exhibit.

"The howler monkey is a species that’s native to Costa Rica, and it's one of the endangered monkey species that we have housed here at John Ball Zoo," Smith said.

They're aiming to reach at $25,000. Donations can be made here.
