A special welcome home will be a Gerald R. Ford International Airport on Wednesday.
Operation Handshake will start at 8 a.m. Wednesday with members of the Patriot Guard Riders and Blue Start Mothers.
People will line concourse exits and greet veterans and active military with handshakes, words of thanks and waving flags.
