Man admits to ice cream shop robberies in Grand Rapids area

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A man accused of robbing ice cream parlors across the Grand Rapids area has pleaded guilty to a list of felonies.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says it happened over the course of a week last July.

Cameron Harris, 26, was arrested by a deputy after he was spotted in a running car after one break-in. He broke into another three shops in a single night after being released on an electronic tether.

Harris was taken to jail after a detective checked the device, which put him at the scene of each break-in.
