GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Christopher Schurr's preliminary hearing got underway yesterday and is expected to resume today.
The former Grand Rapids police officer has been charged with second-degree murder in the April officer-involved shooting death of Patrick Lyoya.

Schurr's attorney said yesterday he had one more witness. Final motions and arguments will be held before the judge determines whether to send the case to trial.
