The preliminary hearing for the former Grand Rapids police officer who shot and killed Patrick Lyoya will resume on Friday.
Judge Nicholas Ayoub will decide during the hearing if there is enough evidence to send the case to trial.
Chris Schurr is charged with second-degree murder.
The defense says they have one more witness they may call on in the morning and then final motions and arguments will be held.
