Grand Traverse Pie Company closed for good in Kentwood

KENTWOOD (WOOD-AM) - The owners of the Grand Traverse Pie Company location in Kentwood say, after 15 years in business, "unforeseen circumstances" will keep them closed for good.

The business isn't commenting about what that "unforeseen circumstance" is, but it's likely connected with an incident in April where a car punched through the store's front window.

The signs have been taken down.

Previously, the owners said they would reopen the 28th Street store over the summer.

There are still Grand Traverse Pie Company locations in Norton Shores, Portage and Lansing.

Pies can still be ordered online or purchased at select D&W Fresh Market and Meijer stores.
