Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons will begin a post-election audit of Gaines Township Precinct 8 next week.
The audit comes after charges were filed against an election worker for allegedly tampering with a machine.
James Donald Holkeboer allegedly inserted a USB device into the electronic poll book after the data had been saved in the precinct's encrypted system.
Posthumus Lyons says the incident had no impact on the election, however the audit will confirm that and reassure voters.
