Michigan State Police is investigating after an 83-year-old woman was shot in Lake Odessa.
The incident happened on the afternoon of September 20 at a home on Bippley Road.
Police say the woman drove herself to the Lake Odessa Police Department after she was shot during an alleged verbal altercation.
According to Right to Life of Michigan, the woman was shot while going door-to-door, handing out materials about a proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot.
