University of Michigan Health-West is closing their rheumatology office at the end of October.
The medical group sent a letter to patients informing them of the decision on July 15.
The medical group released a statement saying the decision was made with patients' best interests in mind as wait times at the clinic became long and created a lack of access.
However, several patients say their reasoning doesn't make sense.
The clinic says they are working with patients to ensure a warm transition.
