Novelist donates $50,000 to Jamestown Township library

Romance novelist Nora Roberts is donating $50,000 to support a Jamestown Township library that has faced criticism from the community over LGBTQ books in their collection.

Robert's publicist says GoFundMe allows a maximum donation of $50,000, however library leaders can reach out to her if they need more funding.

During the August primary, Jamestown Township voters rejected a millage that provides 85 percent of funding for the Patmos Library.

Officials have said without the millage, the library will likely have to close.
