Forest Hills Public Schools is raising the starting pay of bus drivers to attract new employees.
Todd Sharp, the director of transportation, says since pay was raise to $21 per hour, more than 20 drivers have applied to join the staff.
Sharp says they are very pleased they have not had to cancel a route yet.
Drivers work a split shift that starts with school pick up in the morning and ends with school drop off in the afternoon.
