Kent County has 10 of state's 45 E. coli outbreak cases

Federal health officials are investigating a possible link between a multistate E. coli outbreak and lettuce served on sandwiches from some Wendy's franchises.

The state of Michigan now has 45 reported cases.

Kent County is home to the most cases of any county in the state with 10.

Ottawa County has six reported cases while Muskegon and Allegan counties have one case each.

Kent County officials say some cases were reported late last week and they expect the numbers could continue to grow.
