Thornapple Kellogg Schools cutting bus routes

Thornapple Kellogg Schools is cutting bus routes just weeks before school starts, due to a bus driver shortage.

Superintendent Craig McCarthy made the announcement in a letter to parents saying they had no choice.

McCarthy says they had to create a walking zone for students who live close to schools.

The district covers 125 square miles and normally requires 31 bus drivers.

The district currently has eight open positions.
