Library millage fails over LGBTQ books in Jamestown Township

The Patmos Library in Jamestown Township may be forced to close after a millage renewal failed in Tuesday's primary.

Library Board of Trustee president Larry Walton says a small group has protested over books that include LGBTQ issues.

Walton says of their 67,000 piece catalog, approximately 90 pieces could be relative to LGBTQ issues.

The materials make up 0.001 percent of their catalog.

The library now has to work on supplementing $200,000 to stay open.
