GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Tudor Dixon, a steel executive and political commentator from Norton Shores, will face Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in the November election.

Dixon, who picked up the endorsement of Donald Trump last week, is the projected winner in the Republican primary for governor.

Two opponents, Garrett Soldano and and Kevin Rinke, said they will support her this fall.

John Gibbs is also turning his attention to November and his upcoming race against Democrat Hillary Scholten. Gibbs, who also had Trump's endorsement, is the projected winner in the race against Peter Meijer in the state's third congressional district.

Meijer has conceded.
