Pine Rest building pediatric hospital

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is building a $62 million Pediatric Behavior Health Center of Excellence.

The behavioral health provider will expand outpatient services, create new clinics for anxiety, depression, eating disorders and autism, include more inpatient beds and create a new pediatric psychiatric urgent care center.

Pine Rest will receive $38 million from the 2023 state budget and will launch a campaign to raise the remaining $24 million for the project.

Dr. Mark Eastburg, president and CEO of Pine Rest, says the new facility will help Michigan become a place where kids don't have to wait weeks to get the mental health care they need.
