GR Chief reminding public its's illegal to disrupt meetings

Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom is reminding the public it is illegal to disrupt a public meeting.

Recent city commission meetings have been interrupted multiple times.

Mayor Rosalynn Bliss ended the July 12 meeting early due to disruptions.

GRPD officers arrested three protestors outside the chambers that night.

Winstrom says as soon as the mayor says someone has to leave, they have to leave.
