Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and Spectrum Health's Helen DeVos Children's Hospital are partnering to open a new children's rehabilitation hospital in GR.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer visited Grand Rapids to share that $10 million from the state budget will go toward the $60 million project.
The Mary Free Bed Children's Rehabilitation Center will take the place of the parking lot across the road from Mary Free Bed's main campus.
A skywalk will connect the two hospitals.
This will be the ninth facility of its kids in the county.
