Man facing charges after driving Lime bike on highway while drunk

A Grand Rapids man is facing drunk driving charges after he drove an electric bicycle on US-131.

The incident happened on June 14 in the northbound lanes of the interstate near Ann Street.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker says the situation was dangerous as you never know the chain reaction that could be created.

Officials say the 27-year-old had a BAC of .19, which is more than twice the legal limit of .08.

Lime released a statement saying they have banned the man from their app permanently.
