2 DEATH TOLL CLIMBS IN ILLINOIS SHOOTING: A seventh person has died from the Fourth of July shooting in Highland Park, Illinois.
More than 30 others were injured and the attacker is now facing 7 counts of first degree murder.
Police say he planned the attack for weeks and was dressed in women’s clothing while he carried it out.
Information released by state and local police shows the suspect previously required officer intervention over threats of violence and mental health concerns -- raising questions about how he was able to legally obtain firearms.
The killer will make his first court appearance today.
