Replacement air control tower called for by GR businesses

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Last week, the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to the Federal Aviation Administration, asking for a replacement air traffic control tower at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

The tower, that opened in 1963, is said to be holding up expansion, along with being outdated.
