Lowell announcing outdoor water restrictions

The city of Lowell is announcing outdoor water restrictions.

Municipal customers in Lowell and Lowell Township will have to follow odd-even restriction through September 30.

Residents with address ending in odd numbers can only water outdoors on odd days while residents with addresses ending in even numbers can only water on even days.

Lowell City Manager Mike Burns says the water treatment plant has a limit on the amount of water it can produce and recent demand is pushing it to the limit.

The restrictions do not impact in home water usage.
