The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office is reopening the area near Newaygo City Hall after it was closed off due to a unknown device Monday afternoon.
Officials say someone found a device on the side of the road and placed it in a bucket to take to the Newaygo County Sheriff's Office.
The bomb squad cleared the area and took the device to a secure location to be detonated.
Officials say to never touch or move a suspicious device.
