MI Rep. Jim Lilly to leave office before end of term

A West Michigan state representative is announcing he will leave office for a new career.

Rep. Jim Lilly R-Park Township says he will be leaving the Michigan Legislature on July 1, before his term is over.

He will be taking over as the Vice President of Government Affairs for Spartan Nash.

Lilly started representing the 89th House District in 2017.

He cannot run for reelection in the fall due to term limits.
