GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The animal shelter in Kent County, along with the animal control department, are going to be making changes.
The Kent County Animal Shelter will become a stand-alone department, no longer under the administration of the Kent County Health Department, while Animal Control will be reassigned to be run by a specially trained team at the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
