FERRIS TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Montcalm County Sheriff's Office says one man died after crashing into a tree Monday morning.
Authorities say the crash happened when a 51-year-old man driving a Jeep Cherokee drove off of Crystal Road after missing the curve on Lake Montcalm Road around 11:34 a.m., hitting a large tree.
Deputies say the found the driver dead at the scene. They say speed, alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt.
