Plainfield Township man admits to possessing child pornography

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A Plainfield Township man who ran a computer repair shop out of his home has admitted to possessing child pornography.

As part of a deal with prosecutors, 63-year-old Kenneth Lotterman also pleaded guilty to a computer crime. Four original charges stemming from his arrest last summer, including a charge of distributing or promoting child pornography, have been dropped.

Charging documents say Lotterman possessed content involving a young girl.

Sentencing guidelines call for 10 to 23 months behind bars. Lotterman's deal will cap his sentence at 12 months.
