Person of interest in downtown shooting released

Grand Rapids Police say a person of interest in the shooting in downtown GR early Sunday morning, has been released.

Officials say the individual was released pending further investigation.

The incident happened on Pearl Street NW between Monroe and Ottawa avenues around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Twenty-five-year-old Armonie Acklin was killed and three others were injured.
