Man found guilty in 2020 Grandville shooting

GRANDVILLE, Mich. - 20-year-old Jerell Chapman was found guilty of shooting and killing Alex Disla in October 2020.

Chapman was convicted by a Kent County jury of second-degree murder, assault with intent to commit murder, discharging a weapon from a vehicle causing death and three counts of felony firearm.

He was acquitted on a count of carrying a concealed weapon, and his scheduling is set for Aug. 8.
