Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker says he is not close to a decision in the death of Patrick Lyoya.
Grand Rapids Police Office Christ Schurr shot and killed Lyoya after an altercation in April.
Becker has to decide if Schurr was justified in shooting Lyoya or if charges should be issued.
Becker says he is reaching out for expert guidance on the case.
He is still awaiting several reports from Michigan State Police.
