EB I-96 ramp to SB US-131 to close for months, starting Wednesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Starting Wednesday at noon, the ramp that goes from eastbound I-96 to US-131, southbound, will be closed for several months.

Drivers are advised to take one of the following detours:

  • Northbound US-131, West River Drive to southbound US-131
  • Eastbound I-96 to Plainfield Avenue, westbound I-96 to southbound US-131

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the ramp is scheduled to be closed through August 19.
