The Kent County Sheriff says some landline users in northern Kent County may not be able to call 911.
AT&T is reporting that users with phone numbers staring with 616-696-XXXX are not able to place outgoing calls at this time.
The department urges people to use a cellphone to call 911.
The Kent County Sheriff will provide an update when AT&T shares a restoration plan.
