Grand Rapids City leaders are supporting a plan to redesign part of US-131.
The redesign would occur where US-131 and Wealthy meet.
No plan has been approved or funded yet, however the city began the process by accepting a $10 million grant from the state on Tuesday.
The money will be used to consider multiple options for the area.
The grant will fund an environmental review and preliminary engineering and redesign work.
