BIG PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Crews are said to be fighting a 15-acre wildfire on private land in Newaygo County.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause remains unknown, but it may have been started near a camper.
"A forestry investigator is on scene looking into what started it," Big Prairie Township Fire Chief Jesse Alonzo said. "We do believe the point of origin is by that camper."
Much of the northern lower peninsula is under a red flag warning through at least tonight.
