Man arrested for perjury in decades-old disappearance wants charge dropped

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Ten months after his arrest, the suspect who was arrested for perjury in the decades-old disappearance of Deanie Peters is now trying to get the charge thrown out.

James Frisbie of Caledonia was the only person arrested in connection with the 1981 disappearance of the 14-year-old.

Defense attorney David Dodge says Frisbie, 62, should have never been ordered to stand trial.
