The Big Three 4-27-22
1 Things are heating up in the death of Patrick Lyoya. NAACP President Cle Jackson along with Kent County Commissioner Robert Womack and a handful of others held a press conference outside of the Kent County Prosecutor’s office to make several new demands.
-Patrick Lyoya case be turned over to Democrat MI Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office
-Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker recuse himself
-Officer involved be fired immediately and decertified as a law enforcement officer. He would never be able to serve again.
Later that night, protestors gathered at the city commission meeting.
City officials and the mayor called a recess and left the meeting early.
GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom stayed to address concerns.
2 VP Kamala Harris has tested positive.. again. After concerns about the health of Biden, the White House made it clear that she’s not a “close contact.”
