POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says a woman from Norton Shores was sent to the hospital after her vehicle hit utility poles Monday morning.
Investigators say the woman was driving eastbound on Leonard in Polkton Township when she ran off the road, hitting poles and a landscape rock.
Leonard Street was closed west of 68th Avenue while Consumers Energy worked to deenergize the power lines and reset the poles. It has since reopened.
