People not showing up for jury duty is becoming a big problem in Calhoun County.
Court staff says Calhoun County has held six trials since they resumed in-person operations on February 28 and around 40 people are summoned for each trial.
Roughly eight individuals no-show for every trial.
One of the trials had to be pushed back because of no-shows.
Circuit Court Judge John Hallacy says the no-show percentage is higher than before the pandemic.
