A pilot program to clear snow off Grand Rapids sidewalks has an unclear future.
The Sidewalk Snow Support Pilot Program clears snow off 100 miles of sidewalks in GR whenever more than 2 inches falls.
Crews clear the sidewalks but leave a half an inch so their blades do not damage the sidewalk.
The program is in its third and final year and Grand Rapids Director of Public Works John Gorney says the program has received positive feedback.
