ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - On Thursday night, a person was seriously injured after crashing with a deputy around 6 p.m. in the area of Fruit Ridge and Stage Avenue near Walker.
It happened when a patrol deputy, which was responding to an accident, was hit by a sedan that lost control on the slippery road.
The sedan driver, a 40-year-old from Walker, was brought to the hospital with serious injuries. The deputy was also being evaluated at a nearby hospital.
