ROCKFORD (WOOD-AM) - A public safety lieutenant in Rockford has resigned after being placed on leave earlier this month.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash near Hudsonville.
Aaron Sawyer may have been involved. He was placed on leave on the same day of the crash.
Sawyer previously pleaded guilty to drunk driving following an incident in 2015. He was not given any jail time.
