1 Both Zeeland and Grand Haven Public schools will reopen today after being closed to investigate threats to the schools in Ottawa County. Those threats turned out to be not credible.
Police in Muskegon County say they have identified three students who allegedly made threats to the schools. Students from Oakridge High School, Whitehall schools and Mona Shores schools are now facing criminal charges and school discipline.
2 A federal judge in Georgia has blocked the Biden administration's vaccine mandate for federal contractors, in yet another legal defeat.
The vaccine mandate was scheduled to take effect on Jan. 4 and would apply to any company that holds a contract to work with the federal government, comprising nearly a quarter of the U.S. workforceaccording to Bloomberg Law.
A Georgia district court has ordered the federal government to temporarily stop enforcing the mandate for federal contractors.
