1 The first known case of the Omicron variant is here. It was discovered in a patient in California who just returned from South Africa. They were fully vaccinated.
Biden is expected to address the nation later today on his plan of action.
These actions are expected to include new domestic and international travel guidelines, plus more booster shot outreach for vulnerable groups.
2 Four students have now died and seven are injured after the killings at Oxford High School. Police say 15-year-old Ethan Crumbly brought his fathers pistol to school to carry out the violence.
He will be tried as an adult on multiple charges and will be transferred to an adult corrections center, where he will stay in isolation. He pled not guilty at the arraignment yesterday and is due back in court Dec. 13.
3 State lawmakers will meet today to discuss reforms to Michigan's troubled unemployment agency. The House Oversight Committee will look at a handful of proposals that will improve the system including faster customer service.
