Supply chain issues are causing schools in the area to change their lunch menus.
School officials say everyone in the state is competing for the same products, so they have to be patient.
Mary Darnton, the food service director for Jenison and Hudsonville Public Schools, says people often forget the food we buy is planned for ahead of time so the supply chain is going to take some time to get back to normal.
She estimates it will take a few months for things to get back to normal.
