The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says several COVID cases at the jail have prompted quarantines.
Officials say two inmates have symptoms and four others have tested positive.
They have conducted contact tracing which led to the quarantine of 35 other inmates who had been in close contact with the other individuals.
The jail is also stopping all non-essential activities.
