Doctors warn RSV cases on the rise in W. MI children

Health officials at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital say cases of respiratory syncytial virus are tending higher than normal this year.

RSV is a common respiratory virus that causes similar symptoms to a cold for adults.

However, it can be serious for children and infants.

As of Thursday, there were 21 infants in the hospital with RSV and all of them were in the intensive care unit.
