GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Kent County dispatches are reporting one person was airlifted with an injury after a four-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, with one person being killed.
The crash happened near 7 a.m. on 100th Street near Patterson Avenue. While authorities investigate the scene, drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
Kent County Sheriff's Office confirmed a driver did not stop for slow traffic on 100th, rear-ending four cars in the process.
The at-fault driver was airlifted to the hospital, while the person in the first vehicle hit was pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of the drivers have not been released, and there were no other reports of injuries.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
