A man accused of damaging electrical and gas meters at a strip mall is now facing charges.
Shayne Nagel of Grand Junction, is charged with malicious destruction of utility property, assaulting and resisting police and habitual offender fourth notice.
The Wayland Police Department responded to a call on August 12 after witnesses noticed the service panels were open and the meters looked unusual.
Investigators could not initially tell if the damage was related to severe weather in the area.
