There were multiple reports of dust devils throughout West Michigan on Thursday.
Owners of Lincoln Nurseries near Walker say a dust devil ripped a covering off one of their nurseries.
A dust devil forms on a warm, clear day as the sun heats the ground.
The dirt heats up and warms the air around it causing it to rise and circulate bringing dust and debris with it.
Dust devils typically last less than a minute as cooler air cuts them off.
